BV - Those Super Fun Yeast Infection That We All Get

Bacterial Vaginosis is a condition that produces thick discharge, itchiness, and strong odours in the vagina. We’ve all been there wondering if anyone else has noticed what we think is such an obvious thing to notice. I mean the discomfort should be an obvious sign. It’s a good thing people can’t read our thoughts, isn’t it?

I don’t know one woman who hasn’t had to check out what’s normal and not normal. We all get on the computer or get the women’s health book and research strange things that happen to our body. So I’m sure if you are seeing this you have had some sort of symptom or change and you’re wondering what’s going on.

Bacterial Vaginosis is not dangerous but the symptoms are the reason we need to get rid of it quickly.

The amount of vaginal discharge that is considered normal varies from woman to woman. Your body should relatively give out the same amount and same color on a regular basis. This is why you need to watch out for a change in that discharge. Look for thin and a greyish white color or a change in odour.

BV can happen when the amount and type of bacteria in the vagina change.

Lactobacilli are a type of bacteria that are usually found in the vagina. In women with BV, the number of lactobacilli is greatly reduced.

There are different activities which are thought to bring about BV including a new sexual partner, douching, and smoking cigarettes. BV isn’t just limited to sexually active women though; women who have never had vaginal intercourse may also get it.

There are two recommended drugs used for the treatment of BV: metronidazole and clindamycin. Both of them can be taken in pill form orally, or with a gel or cream that is inserted inside the vagina. Oral medication is easier to take and cleaner but it also causes more side effects. But it usually comes back again.

In my opinion drugs are not the solution to everything. Taking them can stop or cover up what’s going on but not solve the problem for good. This is why most women have had a yeast infection more than once. You really want to get rid of your BV safely and naturally and keep it on the other side of the fence for good.

If you are wondering if you have BV, suffering from the symptoms right now, or have had it in the past then you will want to learn more about it and how to keep it away for good. I recommend checking out http://yeastinfectionfreeevermore.com.
